My First String Job with the KlipperMate

I have strung rackets before this. My first impression of the Klippermate out of the box was how heavy and well built it felt. It was indeed very solid and sturdy.

All the moving parts are very smooth. The floating clamps are excellent and the string jaws holds very well indeed.

Although I have never used a dropweight before, and considering the lack of a ratchet, it did not take me long to figure out how to adjust the amount of slack in the string to get the bar to almost horizontal. I have to agree with the many comments I read online, that better clamps are much more important than having a ratchet.
