Replacing Original Grip
After some years of use, most tennis rackets' original cushion grips would wear badly and start flaking.
I removed the flaking grip in my Dunlop 500 Tour and replaced it with a leather grip. Have to really pull it very tight for the leather to be applied nice and evenly. But the tacky feel (and fragrance) of the new grip is worth the effort!
Compared with the original Dunlop Hydramax Tour Cushion Grip, the leather is much stiffer and firmer. I can feel the bevels of the grip very clearly and it helps me to change my grip faster during play. The original cushion felt too soft for my preference and I don't feel "accurate" with it.
